Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 6, 2026
Mojo (also called Mojo Disputes) is DIY credit-dispute software. We collect account and quiz information, and—only after you enroll with our credit-monitoring partner and connect your report—credit report data so you can choose disputes and generate letters. We use analytics (including PostHog) on the marketing site. We do not sell your personal information for money. You can ask to access, correct, or delete your information, disconnect SmartCredit®, and opt out of marketing. We text, email, and call users, and we use AI to generate responses for those text, email, and call communications, for service and (where you allow it) marketing.
This summary does not replace the full policy below.
1. Who we are and what this policy covers
Mojo / Mojo Disputes (“Mojo,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is operated by Simple Software Company LLC, DBA Mojo Disputes.ai.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information when you use:
- our marketing website at mojodisputes.ai (and related pages such as the credit scan quiz);
- our client application at client.mojodisputes.ai; and
- related support or communications about Mojo.
It does not cover SmartCredit® / ConsumerDirect, the credit bureaus, creditors, or other independent sites you may visit. Those parties have their own privacy policies.
Contact for privacy requests: info@mojodisputes.ai
Mailing address: 1664 South Dixie Drive, H-107, Saint George, Utah 84770
2. Scope
This policy applies to personal information we process about visitors and users of Mojo's sites and app in the United States. Mojo is intended for adults 18 and older.
If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use Mojo.
3. Information we collect
The types of information we collect depend on how you use Mojo.
3.1 Account and contact information
When you create an account or complete the marketing quiz signup, we collect:
- full name;
- email address;
- phone number;
- account/login details needed to sign in (as implemented in the client app); and
- your acceptance of this privacy policy (checkbox on the quiz account step).
Verified signup path (marketing → app): On the final quiz step, the browser POSTs exactly email, full_name, and phone to https://client.mojodisputes.ai/clients/quiz-signup, which creates/associates your Mojo client account and then directs you toward SmartCredit® enrollment.
3.2 Quiz and scan answers (marketing site)
The marketing “scan” quiz asks about:
- approximate credit score range;
- types of items you believe are on your report (e.g., collections, late payments); and
- your goals (e.g., buy a home, lower rates).
Where those answers live before signup: In your browser's sessionStorage under mojo-scan-answers (local to your session on the marketing site).
Where they go after you submit contact info: We also send quiz answers (and your name, email, and phone) to PostHog as person properties when we identify you by email (see §3.7). The quiz-signup POST to the client app sends only email, full name, and phone—not the score/report/goal answers—in the form fields described above.
3.3 Credit report and SmartCredit® / ConsumerDirect data
To use the core dispute features, you need a SmartCredit® monitoring subscription (offered through ConsumerDirect / the SmartCredit enrollment experience). SmartCredit is an independent company. It bills you separately under its own terms and privacy policy. You manage or cancel that subscription with SmartCredit, not Mojo.
After you enroll and authorize a connection, Mojo may receive and process your 3-bureau credit report and related data needed to show accounts, surface candidate dispute items, and draft letters. Depending on the product flow, that can include information that appears on the report (such as accounts, balances, payment history, inquiries, and personal details on the report such as name, addresses, and date of birth).
- Enrollment may store an opaque SmartCredit/ConsumerDirect customer token and related enrollment metadata on your Mojo user record for linkage—not as a substitute for report fetch credentials.
- Report fetch uses SmartCredit member credentials in a controlled process; Mojo does not persist the SmartCredit password.
- A credit report record may be stored so you can resume analysis and disputes across sessions. Retention: credit report data is deleted within 30 days after the dispute closes.
Connecting/using the monitoring product is described in Mojo's product materials as involving a soft pull that does not affect credit scores the way a hard inquiry would. Treat SmartCredit's own disclosures as authoritative for how their pulls work.
3.4 Dispute choices, letters, and mailing
When you use the app, we collect:
- which accounts/items you choose to dispute and the reasons you select;
- letter content you generate, edit, and review;
- send path (DIY / Mojo Free vs Mojo Pro mailing), certification/authorization steps; and
- for Mojo Pro, mailing-related details needed to print, mail, and track letters you have reviewed (addresses, tracking, and related status).
Mojo Free: you download/print/mail letters yourself.
Mojo Pro: Mojo (or a print-and-mail vendor acting for Mojo) prints and mails letters you have reviewed.
3.5 Identity / personal-info documents (app)
We may collect profile / personal information and uploads such as photo ID and proof of address to support letter packages, and profile fields that may include sensitive identifiers behind authentication. We collect the minimum personal and documentary information needed to prepare and (for Pro) mail dispute correspondence you authorize.
ID verification documents are deleted within 30 days after verification is complete.
3.6 Device and usage information
We automatically collect technical and usage data such as:
- pages and screens viewed, clicks, and approximate timestamps;
- browser type, device type, operating system;
- IP address and coarse location inferred from IP;
- referrer / exit information; and
- diagnostic data needed to run and secure the service.
3.7 Analytics, cookies, and PostHog
On mojodisputes.ai, we use PostHog (US cloud) for product analytics.
- Events are sent through a first-party reverse proxy path
/ingest(rewritten to PostHog US endpoints) to reduce ad-blocker drop-off. - We capture pageviews (manually on route changes), autocapture, pageleave, and custom quiz events (e.g., step viewed/completed, CTA clicks, lead submitted).
- On quiz lead submit, we call
identifywith your email as the distinct id and set person properties including email, name, phone, and quiz answers. Event properties for the lead event are designed to stay free of raw contact PII; person properties intentionally include contact + quiz answers. - Session replay is enabled with inputs masked in recordings.
- Person profiles are configured as identified-only.
We and our providers may use cookies, local/session storage, pixels, and similar technologies. The marketing quiz answers also use sessionStorage.
3.8 Payments and billing
- SmartCredit® subscription fees are charged by SmartCredit / ConsumerDirect, not by Mojo. Mojo does not process that card data under this policy's “Mojo payments” section.
- Mojo Pro (and any other Mojo paid plan) may involve payment through a payment processor. Card numbers are intended to be handled by the processor, not stored by Mojo as full PAN data.
3.9 Communications content
When we text, email, or call you, we process the contact details you gave us (phone and email) and the content of those conversations, including AI-generated drafts and sent messages, transcripts or call notes where we create them, and delivery/status metadata.
3.10 Information we do not invent or guarantee
We do not fabricate credit statistics about you. Outcomes of disputes depend on your report and on bureau/creditor responses. Mojo is self-help software, not a credit repair organization acting on your behalf, and not a law firm.
4. How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- Provide Mojo — create and secure your account; run the quiz and signup; connect to SmartCredit® enrollment; fetch/display credit report data you authorize; scan for candidate items; let you choose disputes; generate and store letters; support DIY mailing or Mojo Pro print-and-mail; track dispute/mailing status where offered.
- Operate and improve the product — debug, analytics, performance, UX improvement; use aggregated or de-identified data where practical.
- Communicate with you — send service messages (account, security, dispute/mailing status, policy updates) and, where permitted, marketing messages.
- Communications and AI / automated contact: We contact users by text (SMS), email, and phone call. We use AI to generate responses for those text, email, and call communications (for example, drafting outreach or support replies). Messages may still be reviewed, edited, or handled by a person. Automated sequences may also be used. By providing your phone number and email, you may receive service and (where permitted) marketing communications on those channels; you can opt out of marketing as described in §8.
- Safety and integrity — prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents; enforce terms.
- Legal compliance — meet legal obligations, respond to lawful requests, and establish/exercise/defend legal claims.
- Business operations — accounting, auditing, and (if ever relevant) evaluating a merger or sale of assets.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information only as described below.
5.1 SmartCredit® / ConsumerDirect
We share information as needed to start enrollment, link your Mojo account to your SmartCredit membership, and keep your report connection working. SmartCredit / ConsumerDirect process your monitoring subscription and related data under their privacy policy.
5.2 Credit bureaus and creditors
When you download or mail dispute letters, those letters contain your information and go to the bureaus and/or creditors you choose. That disclosure is inherent to disputing.
5.3 Service providers (processors)
We use vendors who process data on our behalf under contracts that limit their use to providing services to us. Categories include:
- Marketing site hosting — Vercel
- Client / admin app hosting — cloud hosting providers
- Product analytics — PostHog (US) on the marketing site
- Payment processing (Mojo Pro) — payment processors
- Email delivery — email delivery providers (Mojo emails users)
- SMS / text delivery — SMS delivery providers (Mojo texts users)
- Voice / phone calls — phone / VoIP providers (Mojo calls users)
- Print-and-mail (Mojo Pro) — print-and-mail vendors
- Customer support / CRM tooling — support and CRM providers as needed
- AI tooling for support/outreach — AI providers used to generate responses for text, email, and call communications
5.4 Legal, safety, and business transfers
We may disclose information if we believe in good faith it is required by law, necessary to protect rights, safety, or security, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets (subject to this policy or successor notice).
5.5 With your direction or consent
We may share information when you ask us to or otherwise consent.
6. How long we keep information
We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above, including to provide the service, comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
- Credit reports: We delete credit report data within 30 days after the dispute closes.
- ID verification documents (such as photo ID and proof of address): We delete these within 30 days after verification is complete.
- Account data: We delete account data within 30 days.
- Dispute letters: We delete dispute letters within 30 days.
- PostHog analytics events: We delete analytics events within 30 days.
Payment card numbers for Mojo Pro, if any, are handled by our payment processor and are not stored by Mojo in full.
7. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information (for example, HTTPS, access controls, and avoiding persistence of SmartCredit passwords). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Use a strong, unique password and contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
Do not email your full Social Security number or full account numbers to support unless a secure, requested process specifically requires it.
8. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live and applicable law, you may have rights to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you;
- Correct inaccurate information;
- Delete information, subject to legal exceptions;
- Disconnect SmartCredit® / stop sharing new report data with Mojo by disconnecting in-product or closing your Mojo account as available;
- Opt out of marketing emails (and texts, if we send them) using the unsubscribe/STOP instructions in the message; we may still send transactional/service messages;
- Limit certain uses of sensitive personal information, where required by law;
- Appeal a denied privacy request, where required by law; and
- Authorize an agent to make requests on your behalf, where permitted (we may need to verify both you and the agent).
California and similar state rights (high level)
If you are a resident of California (CCPA/CPRA) or another state with a comprehensive privacy law (e.g., Virginia and others), you may have additional rights, including to know categories of personal information collected, delete, correct, and opt out of “sale” or “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined by statute. We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.
How to make a request: Email info@mojodisputes.ai with enough detail for us to verify your identity and locate your account. We may ask for additional information to verify the request.
Questions about whether something on your credit report is accurate should also be directed to the relevant credit bureau(s) and furnishers; Mojo cannot change bureau files except by helping you prepare disputes you choose to send.
9. Children
Mojo is for individuals 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a minor has provided information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it as required by law.
10. Third-party links and services
Mojo links to or embeds third-party services (including SmartCredit® enrollment). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. We are not responsible for those practices.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new effective date. If changes are material, we will provide additional notice as required by law (for example, by email or in-app notice) before they take effect.
